Polygraph in the News - 7/7/2009

The following are article(s) in which Polygraph is playing an important role in the World. (Article descriptions are mine)

** Please note that many news sources archive/move their articles after a certain period of time. If a story link no longer works, this may be what happened.

  • Amy Dierks, the South Dakota daycare worker accused of hurting baby Henry Johnson was acquitted. Although she confessed during her polygraph test, there was a successful motion to suppress the interview so the jury never heard the confession. Click the link to read the story or you can watch the video.

  • There is a poll being taken on about.com regarding whether polygraph should be used in criminal investigations. The obvious answer is 'of course', but lets unite and vote that way as well. It will take all of 30 seconds to enter your vote at the following page. Thanks.
