OCPI Now Accredited - Upcoming Training Opportunity - News Rover Needed - New PICS Instrument Prices - Polygraph Place Changes

We kept the blog fairly quiet over the holidays and into the beginning of this new year. Nadine and I do hope the holidays had some refreshing moments for you and yours. This will be a 'bits and pieces' release of the blog to quickly cover several items.
-----------------------------------------------

Orange County Polygraph Institute (OCPI) receives APA Accreditation.
The APA Board of Directors met on December 15th and approved accreditation for this new Polygraph School in Southern California. Congratulations to director Leonard Salcedo and his team for working hard to meet APA standards and guidelines so this new school can offer quality training now and into the future.

OCPI to host APA PCSOT Committee Chairman Raymond Nelson as instructor.
OCPI will be offering their Post Conviction Sex Offender Polygraph Examiner Training Course (PCSOT) at their facilities from February 1st - February 5th, 2010. The instructor for this course will be Raymond Nelson, who is the new APA PCSOT Chairman. I understand that this course will include an opportunity to better understand the APA approved model policy guidelines for PCSOT. Spots are still available. You may register for this as well as other OCPI training opportunities by visiting... https://www.ocpica.com/courses.php

Polygraph Place looking for a News Junkie
If you are an examiner who is self motivated and enjoys staying 'in the know' of important polygraph related news, I'd like to talk with you. We are looking for a news rover who enjoys finding and conveying polygraph related news items for the benefit of the profession. If this even slightly resonates with you, please send an 'I'm interested, need more info' email to detector@polygraphplace.com.

Significant Polygraph Place Changes Coming.
I spent the holidays re-evaluating the Polygraph Place with the end result being that it is time for some significant changes. I will be sharing more about these in the next few weeks. Sorry to be so vague, but I still have a few key proverbial ducks to get into a row and then all things can be made clear.

As always, thanks so much for all your support to us and this profession through the years. Ralph & Nadine Hilliard
